Feeding Guide

🐔

Backyard Chickens

Scatter 50–80g per bird per day as a supplement to layer feed. Best given in the afternoon as a treat — gets them active before roosting.

Always ensure access to fresh water and a balanced layer feed.

🥚

Free-Range Layers

40–60g per bird per day alongside layer pellets. The varied grains support egg production and shell quality.

Ensure adequate calcium and protein in the overall ration.

Ducks & Waterfowl

50–80g per bird per day. Ducks love the variety. Scatter near water for natural foraging behaviour.

Best combined with other grains and protein supplements.

Young Pullets (16+ weeks)

30–40g per bird per day as a supplement. Introduce gradually alongside grower feed before transitioning to layer feed.

Do not replace grower feed entirely with scratch mix.
